Gentle, natural and organic ingredients
Avril's certified organic face wash contains carefully selected ingredients to give your skin the very best of nature. It contains over 98% ingredients of natural origin and 11% organically grown . Organic aloe vera, maple sap, blueberry, sweet orange and lemon extracts add freshness and invigorate your skin.
How do you incorporate Avril certified organic face wash into your routine?
Step 1: Prepare your skin
Start by moistening your face and neck with lukewarm water.
Step 2: Apply cleansing gel
Take a dab of Avril certified organic face wash and apply it to your face and neck using circular movements.
Massage gently for a few minutes to work the product into a lather. Enjoy this moment to yourself!
Step 3: Rinse thoroughly
Rinse your face with lukewarm water until all traces of gel have been removed.
Step 4: Dry and moisturize your skin
Pat your face dry with a clean towel.
Next, apply a face cream to moisturize your skin.

Where are the Avril products made? − +
The vast majority of cosmetics are made in France, if not by our Italian neighbors. The country of manufacture is indicated on each product sheet on our website as well as on the packaging.
Are the Avril products vegan? − +
The majority (more than 70%) of Avril products are vegan. This information is available on each product sheet. Avril indicate "Vegan product" in the sense of free from ingredients of animal origin.
The company is listed by PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals as cruelty-free, but not as cruelty-free & vegan because not all the products in their range are vegan. Indeed, some of the products contain ingredients of animal origin (beeswax, carmine, yogurt powder or even honey).
Are the Avril products cruelty free? − +
In accordance with European regulations, Avril does not carry out any animal testing. As this is an obligation on the European market, Avril cannot use this argument for marketing purposes, which is why this claim does not appear on the packaging or on the product sheets.

Avril has significantly reduced the plastic packaging around their accessories and their cosmetic products do not contain any excess packaging. Avril favor packaging with high recyclability: cardboard, paper, aluminum, glass.

Nanoparticles are not allowed in the certified organic cosmetic products. Thus, Avril certify that the range of certified organic cosmetics does not contain nanoparticles. For all practical purposes, since 2013, the term "nano" must be indicated in brackets in the INCI lists of cosmetic products, after the name of the ingredient, in order to signify the presence of nanoparticles (e.g. Titanium dioxide [nano]).
Is there palm oil in the Avril products? − +
Avril does not use palm oil, but possible palm oil derivatives may be present in some of the formulas. Be careful however, certain ingredients such as palmitic acid – possible derivative – can come from palm oil as well as olive oil for example. What are the requirements for organic certification? − +
All cosmetics are certified by Ecocert. The labels issued by these certifying bodies guarantee that the brand respect the certification criteria governing organic cosmetics:
- The products do not contain GMOs, parabens, phenoxyethanol, nanoparticles, silicone, PEG, synthetic fragrances and dyes, or ingredients coming from animals (except those produced naturally by them or cochineal).
